At the same time, according to Serbian media, a group of supporters of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party and Gasic also gathered. In the end, everything <a href=\"https:\/\/www.danas.rs\/vesti\/politika\/tenzije-u-krusevcu-gasic\/\">concluded<\/a> without incident. Around the logo, it reads:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNazi punks fuck off.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in the photos shared by Serbian portals, the last word, \u201coff,\u201d is\u2014intentionally or not\u2014obscured by a backpack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The translation is quite straightforward, and the slogan is well-known in rock and anti-fascist circles. On the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomerch.com\/collections\/dead-kennedys\">official Dead Kennedys website<\/a> (archived <a href=\"https:\/\/ghostarchive.org\/archive\/YAdUV\">here<\/a>), official merchandise can be seen bearing the clearly stated message \u201cNazi punks fuck off,\u201d along with a crossed-out swastika.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"823\" height=\"337\" src=\"https:\/\/seecheck.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/nk.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11068\" srcset=\"https:\/\/seecheck.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/nk.jpg 823w, https:\/\/seecheck.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/nk-300x123.jpg 300w, https:\/\/seecheck.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/nk-768x314.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 823px) 100vw, 823px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The slogan comes from a song of the same name, released in 1981.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Dead Kennedys - Nazi Punks Fuck Off (In Studio)\" width=\"580\" height=\"435\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PzHLPnGuVSQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the band\u2019s members, Jello Biafra, performed the song with other musicians in March and slightly altered the lyrics to criticize U.S. President Donald Trump. At the time, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfchronicle.com\/entertainment\/article\/jello-biafra-nazi-trump-song-20207225.php\">explained<\/a> that the lyrics were originally written as a critique of violent behavior at concerts: (archived here)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThen, when it got to places that had real dictators and real fascists, like Brazil and Eastern Europe, it became more,\u201d he told the audience. \u201cIt became kind of a revolutionary cry. So, no mothballing the song, especially because, for the first time ever, we are staring at real live fascist dictatorships with red, white and blue (and) brown shirts all over this country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Facebook page of the band <em>Crveni karton<\/em> (archived <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20250402114323\/https:\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FcrvenikartonKS%2Fposts%2Fpfbid0QoBxm6zWmFuFuKoHJWLPLk75Jm5VLKFE5VNwra6qaM878mbZRazYqs76HAAqstCnl\">here<\/a>) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/crvenikartonKS\/posts\/pfbid0QoBxm6zWmFuFuKoHJWLPLk75Jm5VLKFE5VNwra6qaM878mbZRazYqs76HAAqstCnl\">drew attention<\/a> to the Krusevac incident and the attempt at disinformation. In addition to the Dead Kennedys patch on his back, the young man in the photo is also wearing a patch with the <em>Crveni karton<\/em> logo on his sleeve.
