A video of Turkish President Erdo\u011fan is being circulated on social media<\/a> and Albanian-language outlets<\/a> in April 2026, with claims that he warned Turkey would go to war against Israel if US\u2013Iran talks collapse. One of these posts, which adds to the sense of alarm, has been viewed more than 400,000 times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using Google Lens visual search, Faktoje identified that the clip originates from Erdo\u011fan\u2019s<\/a> speech<\/a> at the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) held on April 10<\/a>, 2026, in Istanbul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The circulating segment begins at minute 7:10 of the full speech, where Erdo\u011fan addresses alleged violations of the ceasefire by Israel in Lebanon: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn the day, the ceasefire was declared, Israel brutally killed 254 Lebanese people. This genocidal network, blinded by blood and hatred, continued to kill children, women, and innocent civilians, ignoring all human values and disregarding all rules and principles.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the full context of the speech, Erdo\u011fan does not mention US\u2013Iran talks nor does he make any statement about Turkey entering a war against Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turkish<\/a> media<\/a> reported on Erdo\u011fan\u2019s speech, but none referenced any threat against Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Turkish government also released a statement<\/a> on April 12<\/a> clarifying that Erdo\u011fan did not make any remarks about an invasion or attack on Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
