This is also the case with the statement of the Vice President of the United States of America (USA), Kamala Harris, about the number of vaccinated and unvaccinated people being treated for COVID-19 in American hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c!!Listen to this Kamal Harris and it’s not a slip of the tongue because she repeated it several times. \u201cAlmost every person who is now in a hospital with Covid has been vaccinated\u2026 I repeat: Almost every person who is now in a hospital with Covid has been vaccinated\u2026\u201d \u201cMoreover, almost every person who has recently died of Covid has been vaccinated!\u201d \u201cSo roll up your sleeves and get vaccinated, too.\u201d It\u2019s a logical thing \ud83d\ude00. \u201cSend it to the headquarters, the government, the parliament, the mother, the grandmother, the father-in-law, the grandfather, the uncle and the nephew, and the mother-in-law!\u201d, <\/em>it is said in a post that was seen by more than 11 thousand Facebook users<\/em><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is an obvious manipulation of the speech of the Vice President of the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the original video, released without manipulation<\/a>, it can be clearly heard that Harris is saying:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLiterally every person who is currently in hospital with COVID-19 is unvaccinated\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fact that the US Vice President did not say that \u201calmost every person in the hospital has been vaccinated\u201d is clearly seen in the transcript published on the White House website<\/a>, which regularly publishes every word spoken by its officials at press conferences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, this is a video that someone \u201crevised\u201d in a manipulative way, which was also confirmed by our colleagues from Istinomer<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, the post is rated as fake news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cFake News\u201d rating is given to the original media report (entirely produced by the media that published it) that contains factually incorrect claims or information. Content that is assessed as fake news can be reliably established to have been created and disseminated to misinform the public, that is, to present a claim that is entirely false as fact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
