The pope himself has been targeted by artificial intelligence numerous times<\/a>. He was depicted riding a motorcycle, flying a fighter jet, and, most notably, in a widely circulated photo showing the pope wearing a popular and expensive Balenciaga jacket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We found a new AI-generated \u201ccreation\u201d targeting the 87-year-old pope on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe devil gave him gold and power, but tomorrow, when he burns in hell, he will seek help!\u201d reads the photo\u2019s caption showing the pope touching\/stacking gold bars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides Facebook, this photo also appeared on Telegram<\/a>, where it achieved significantly greater visibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The photo is quite convincing and has no major visual flaws, but it is still the work of artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This can be confirmed using various tools<\/a> for verifying computer-generated content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, an internet search of official Vatican communication channels, media, and agency reports does not turn up this photo or any reports suggesting anything similar happened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raskrinkavanje has written multiple times<\/a> about disinformation, fake news, and conspiracy theories \u201cwoven\u201d to discredit Pope Francis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to all the above, posts from Facebook and Telegram are rated as fake news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
