Recommendations of civil society for tackling information disorder in the Balkans

Aspen Germany

Information disorder is a joint term covering disinformation and other types of manipulation that may have a harmful effect.

Representatives of Western Balkans 6 civil society have discussed this problem within the Civil society forum which follows the Berlin process, organized by Südosteuropa-Gesellschaft and Aspen Institute Germany.

Several members of the SEE Check network participated in the Forum, with Tijana Cvjetićanin (Raskrinkavanje) and Jelena Berković (Faktograf) facilitating the discussion.

Civil society’s recommendations for tackling information disorder in the Balkans were presented at the conference that followed the Western Balkan Summit held in November 2022 in Berlin.

The recommendations about this and other areas discussed within the CSO can be found in the publication on this link.
