On July 30, 2025, a strong 8.8-magnitude earthquake hit the coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula. The quake generated tsunami waves that reached Japan, Hawaii, and the U.S. West Coast.
However, using Google Lens for visual search, Faktoje discovered that the video in question has been circulating online since March 2025.

The footage actually shows events in Myanmar during the 7.7-magnitude earthquake on March 28, 2025, which caused over 3,000 deaths.
