An image circulating on social media, including Albanian-language platforms, allegedly shows Sara Netanyahu, the wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, on a balcony with a towel, holding a glass that seems to contain beer.
Using the visual search engine Google Lens, Faktoje discovered that the above image has been circulating online since January of this year, along with claims that Benjamin Netanyahu had returned to Israel after the New Year’s celebration hosted by the U.S. President at his Mar-a-Lago resort, while his wife remained in Miami, USA.
However, as observed in the image above, in this almost identical version, only the woman’s outfit has changed, she is no longer wearing a towel but pyjamas.
This is an indication that the image circulating on Albanian-language social media was generated using artificial intelligence (AI) programs.
Using Grok, X/Twitter’s AI tool, Faktoje created the towel version by inputting the image with pyjamas and instructing the program to “dress her in a bath towel,” as shown in the video below.
At the same time, the pink pyjamas image was also AI-generated, using a real photo of Netanyahu’s son, Yair, on the same balcony as the source.

Comparison between the generated image and the real one
The photo of Yair Netanyahu, son of Benjamin and Sara Netanyahu, on the balcony of a luxury apartment in Florida, USA, was published in February 2024 by the British tabloid Daily Mail.
At that time, the tabloid also published photos from different angles showing Yair Netanyahu in the same setting.
If the photo of Sara Netanyahu on the balcony were real, images from different perspectives, like those of Yair, would also be available online.
